Hello. My name is Alia and I’m the founder of AND ROAM.

WE DESIGN AND HANDCRAFT LIMITED EDITION LEATHER BAGS THAT LAUNCH 4 TIMES A YEAR WITH THE EMPHASES ON THE CONCEPT, BUY LESS, BUY BETTER, TO HELP US ALL ACHIEVE A SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE.

With all that’s going on in the world today, I realised that it was so important for me to start making some positive changes in my life that would allow me to reach a more sustainable lifestyle. I fully embraced the importance of recycling, up cycle, reusing and repurposing as a sustainable way forward.

THIS IDEOLOGY

Feeling the weight of the task ahead of us all, I decided that I would carry this ideology into my working life as well, so when I decided to start my own business, I knew what my principles were and how they would help me reimagine, guide and shape the design process. 

8 BILLION AND COUNTING

When David Attenborough was born there were less than 2 billion people in the world. Today, less than a hundred years later, we have officially reached 8 billion and counting. This is a scary future to imagine if we don’t do our sustainable bit, no matter how small. 
I realised that if I was going to have a business that produced physical products, it would have to be sustainable and limited in some way. This is why I have chosen to make our products available on average 4 - 6 times a year. 

DESIGNED TO LAST 

Each product we make has been designed to last. We achieve this by making sure you can replace or repair parts if damaged or worn out. Also our bags are riveted from the inside making them vertically indestructible. This is because there is no stitching that might unravel in time.

BUY LESS, BUY BETTER 

I believe there is no point in building a brand, if it can’t help solve a problem. That problem is overconsumption. We help to solve this problem by making our bags available in a limited way, making them with quality materials and making sure they last a very long time.
